Chapter Monthly Luncheons

The Chapter has a spouse-oriented monthly Buffet Luncheon, which provides social and informative activities for husbands, wives, single persons and guests. Normally the luncheons are held on the third Thursday of the month. The exact date is announced in the monthly bulletin. The social hour begins at 11:00am and the luncheon is at 11:45am. The luncheon is held at the Biltmore Hotel, 2151 Laurelwood Rd, Santa Clara. For road directions, click here. Luncheon menu is a buffet featuring four hot dish entrees, several varieties of garden vegetables; beans, tomatoes, and onions, cheese, cold cut meats, pasta and fruits. Also for your enjoyment are; soup, assorted breads and rolls, and desserts. Beverages are, coffee, hot and iced-tea.
A lack of transportation should not deter you from coming to SVC luncheons. If you need a ride, call our Past President or 2d Vice President. Their phone numbers are (408) 243-9254 and (408) 241-3514, respectively.
CHANGE IN LUNCHEON DAY
BEGINNING FEBRUARY 2009
We’ve been notified that the Ramada Inn will close for renovation after our December 2008 lundheon.
We’ve made arrangements for a new location. This will result in other changes.
1. Beginning in January 2009 the luncheons will take place at the Biltmore Hotel in Santa Clara. See map. Those of you who have internet service can go to http://maps.yahoo.com, enter your address in box “A” and “2151 laurelwood rd, santa clara, ca” in the “B” box. You’ll get a map and driving directions to the restaurant.
2. Luncheons will take place on the 3rd Thursday of every month except August when we’ll still be dark.
3.New price will be $23– still a buffet.
Make sure to note on your calendars that the luncheon will be on the 3rd Thursday beginning 19 February 2009.
